En Assassins of Kings podrás permanecer en el centro de los acontecimientos políticos e iniciar un viaje cuyo objetivo será revelar la identidad del grupo de asesinos responsable de habar acabado con diversos monarcas de los Reinos del Norte. Tu investigación te llevará hasta el río Pontar, en la turbulenta frontera entre Temeria, Kaedwn y Aedrin, donde te verás involucrado en un intenso conflicto en el que están involucradas las fuerzas más poderosas de este mundo.

Este capítulo, la segunda entrega en la franquicia de RPG basada en el brujo Geralt de Rivia, cuenta con un argumento absorbente y adulto que define nuevos estándares en lo que respecta a la narrativa no lineal, incitando a pensar al jugador. Además de esta historia épica, el juego ofrece un original y brutal sistema de combate que combina elementos tácticos con acción dinámica. Además, el nuevo motor del juego, más moderno, se encargará de crear bellos gráficos y ofrecer sofisticadas mecánicas de juego que sumergirán al jugador en el mundo más realista y vivo jamás creado en un juego de rol. La historia cautivadora, el sistema de combate dinámico, los bellos gráficos y todo aquello que había hecho del The Witcher original un gran juego, se ofrece ahora de formas mucho más avanzadas y sofisticadas.
